Abstract
Effects of heat treatment and high-temperature equal-channel angular extrusion (ECAE) process on transformation behaviors of Ti-50.3at.%Ni shape memory alloy (SMA) were investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) measurements. The martensitic transformation start temperature of TiNi alloy decreased sharply after high-temperature ECAE processes, then rapidly rose back after the specimen annealing at 773 K for 2 h. Reasons for the changes of phase transformation behaviors have been discussed.
