Abstract
⺠We prepared stannate-ceria multilayer coatings on AZ91 Mg alloy. ⺠Ceria was obtained by sol-gel at a lower temperature than given in literature. ⺠The coated samples showed a very high corrosion resistance. ⺠Full characterization has been performed. ⺠The effect of PVA addition on precursor sol was evaluated.
