Abstract
⺠A treatment combining molten-salt electrodeposition and anodization is presented. ⺠Molten-salt electrodeposition was adopted to develop a continuous coating on the composite surface. ⺠The surface morphology of the Al coating is closely related to the current density. ⺠Anodization was designed to convert the Al film to an Al oxide film for further corrosion protection. ⺠TiB2/A356 composite after the combination treatment exhibits enhanced corrosion resistance.
