Abstract
⺠Furnace cycling of thermal barrier coatings conducted in air with H2O at 1150 °C. ⺠Lifetime with Pt diffusion bond coatings was not affected by 10% or 90 vol.% H2O. ⺠Lifetime with Pt-modified aluminide bond coatings was reduced > 50% in 10% H2O. ⺠Rate of aluminide bond coat roughening was much higher compared to rate in dry O2.
