Abstract
► Furnace cycling of bare and MCrAlYHfSi-coated CMSX4 variants at 1050°-1150°C. ► Scale thickness, adhesion and surface roughness were assessed at each temperature. ► No effect of La additions were observed for bare or MCrAlYHfSi-coated CMSX4. ► Further study is needed on the effect of Y and La additions to superalloys.
