Abstract
⺠The indenter radius of the scratch test was increased. ⺠Bearing balls were used as indenters in a modified scratch test. ⺠Soft ASA polymer substrates with hard TiN and CrN coatings were tested. ⺠Significance, repeatability and failure modes of the test method are illustrated. ⺠Wear of the steel indenters was evaluated.
