Abstract
⺠Attempted to CVD aluminize to protect ODS Fe-14Cr for fusion energy application. ⺠Compared CVD coating results to other Fe- and Ni-base alloys at 900° and 1100 °C. ⺠ODS Fe-14Cr formed surface layer rich in Al, N and O which prevented aluminization. ⺠High levels of N and O and fine grain size likely explain ODS Fe-14Cr behavior.
