Abstract
⺠We use TiC based on its low weight, low cost and high hardness value compared to WC in tools applications. ⺠Volume fraction of TiC was increased by fed powder composition. ⺠For first time, we increased the TiC volume fraction up to 90 wt.%. âºExcellent results are achieved in clad hardness and wear resistance using high volume fraction of TiC. ⺠TiC shows stronger wear resistance compared to the WC (the most popular carbide in industry).
