Abstract
⺠A novel technology of coating Ti on SiC particle surfaces. ⺠The coating layer was composed of SiC, Ti5Si3, TiC, and Ti. ⺠Tests and calculation are provided to measure the interface bonding of SiC/matrix. ⺠Ti-coated SiC grits were used as the wear controller for iron-based diamond tools.
