Abstract
⺠We prepared a glass coating to slow down high-temperature oxidation of stainless steel during slab reheating process. ⺠Molten glass layer forms as oxygen diffusion barrier at high temperature. ⺠This low-cost and easy handling method is potentially applicable in industrial scale.
