Abstract
⺠Main goal: Development of new Fe-based, wear-resistant materials. ⺠Strategy: Particle reinforcement with CrB2 by means of high-energy milling (HEM). ⺠Wear-resistant coatings are produced by thermal spraying (HVOF, APS). ⺠Combination of nanocrystalline precipitations and microscaled reinforcement particles. ⺠Result: Excellent resistance against abrasive wear.
