Abstract
► Polytetrafluoroethylene-based nanocomposite films were produced. ► Inorganic fullerene-like tungsten disulfide nanoparticles were incorporated in the films. ► Incorporation of the nanoparticles can improve the hydrophobic behavior. ► An oblate spheroid droplet model was proposed for the hydrophobicity study.
