Abstract
⺠Effects of pulse frequency variation with constant flux or intensity are opposite. ⺠Island density increases with decreasing pulse frequency for constant average flux. ⺠Increase of pulse length for given pulse frequency decreases island density. ⺠Long-range interactions increase island density due to large cross section. ⺠Change of single atom activation energy moves plateaus on temperature scale.
