Abstract
⺠Thin polyaniline hydrochloride films have been carbonized in an inert N2 atmosphere. ⺠Conversion to N-containing carbon analogs at 500 °C was proved by Raman spectroscopy. ⺠Crosslinked phenazine-like and oxidized quinonoid units were detected after heating. ⺠Aniline oligomers deposited on silicon support were preserved during heating. ⺠Hydrophilicity of films increased after heating.
