Abstract
⺠Introduce new dissipation term for AFM in high vacuum. ⺠Able to reproduce resonant peaks for different fluid environments. ⺠No need to fit parameters for each resonance. ⺠New term has mesoscopic origin in the angular motion between layers in cantilever.
