Abstract
Radiation resistant magnet is the key technology of Hadron Experimental Hall of Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC) since the design power of primary proton beam provided by J-PARC's main accelerator, i.e. 50Â GeV-PS is 750Â kW. The remote handling and maintenance schemes of radiation-resistant magnets for seriously high radiation environment were developed also based on the Chimney magnet technology and applied to magnets near the production target in the Hadron Experimental Hall. On January 27th 2009, the first proton beam was successfully introduced to the Hadron Experimental Hall and no serious problem happened on magnets until now.
