Abstract
The Lanzhou Penning Trap (LPT) is an ion trap facility that aims at accurate mass measurements on fusion-evaporation residues possibly including heavy isotopes and is presently under construction at the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The progress and status of the LPT system, including the RFQ cooler and buncher RFQ1L, the Penning trap system, and the 7Â T home-made superconducting magnet, are reported.
