Abstract
► Radiation induced damage in uranium dioxide studied by classical molecular dynamics. ► The damage level is proportional to the initial kinetic energy of the PKA. ► This linear dependence results from the formation of subcascades at high energy. ► This constitutes a simple formalism which can be applied to any material.
