Abstract
Microstructure, luminescence and scintillation of LuBO3 sprayed coatings on transparent substrates were analyzed. Parameters leading to the achievement of homogeneous films with the expected composition were investigated. Several thickness screens composed of pure and Eu3+ or Ce3+ doped LuBO3 phases were prepared. Finally scintillation performances were measured in comparison with the standard Gd2O2S:Tb scintillating screen.
