Abstract
Electron-beam induced polymerization of water-soluble monomers is shown to drive the formation of water-soluble polymers that have application for waste water stream remediation. Irradiation parameters and precursor solution compositions have been identified that yield a water-soluble polymer with targeted properties. The process has been demonstrated in a pilot-scale operation.
