Abstract
⺠Diatoms decrease the tendency of kaolin to coagulate in the presence of salt. ⺠Diatoms significantly increases the liquid limit and plasticity of the mineral mixture. ⺠Diatoms increase the water holding capacity of the mineral mixtures. ⺠Diatoms reduce the solubility of kaolin mixtures, even in electrolyte solution.
