Abstract
The novelties of this investigation are as follow: ► Modification of Cloisite Na+ with natural amino acids has not been reported so far. ► l-Valine, l-leucine and l-isoleucine were not used for the modification of any clay. ► Synthesized organ clays were fully characterized with FTIR, XRD, TGA, SEM and TEM. ► All characterizations for the modified Cloisite Na+ are reported for the first time.
