Abstract
⺠A systematic approach for scalability planning - adding or subtracting the exact capacity needed to fulfill market demand. ⺠An scalability planning methodology that simultaneously changes the system configuration and rebalances the reconfigured system to minimize the total number of machines needed. ⺠A line balancing algorithm that is subjected to multiple constraints and considers machine reliabilities.
