Abstract
▸ We studied the recovery of CO2 in MEA at a 2 ton-CO2/day pilot plant. ▸ The energy requirement for solvent regeneration increases with an increase in flue gas temperature and stripper pressure. ▸ The energy requirement for solvent regeneration had optimum point at 3.7 to 3.8 L/G ratio. ▸ We recommend the bottom of stripper tower be designed with corrosion-resistant materials because of its high corrosion rate.
