Abstract
⸠We studied the recovery of CO2 in MEA at a 2 ton-CO2/day pilot plant. ⸠The energy requirement for solvent regeneration increases with an increase in flue gas temperature and stripper pressure. ⸠The energy requirement for solvent regeneration had optimum point at 3.7 to 3.8 L/G ratio. ⸠We recommend the bottom of stripper tower be designed with corrosion-resistant materials because of its high corrosion rate.
