Abstract
⸠A low cost high temperature (1700 K) solar receiver is investigated for residential scale concentrated solar power generation. ⸠A heat exchanger is integrated into the cavity receiver walls to heat air for a Brayton cycle generator. ⸠Silicon carbide ceramics are used for their high temperature capability, high absorptivity, and high thermal conductivity. ⸠Optimum working conditions were derived to generate 2.5 kW of electricity in minimum space.
