Abstract
⸠A shell-and-tube evaporator (DESTE) with defouling function was developed. ⸠The performance of DESTE was compared with the immersed evaporator (IE). ⸠The DESTE-WWSHP had a much better heat transfer performance than the IE-WWSHP. ⸠The DESTE could lead to considerable savings in room space and materials. ⸠This DESTE-WWSHP could reduce cost, and can also decrease odor nuisance.
