Abstract
An accurate 3-D model using the core calculation code CITATION for the calibration of the control rod in MNSR was developed. The model can easily be extended to other research reactors having more complicated geometries. Using the 3-D model, calibration of the control rod at positions which would be difficult experimentally was made possible. Good agreement between calculated and measured control rod worths was obtained. Comparison between theoretically established one-group and two-group models for the calculation of control rod worth against 3-D model results was made.
