Abstract
⺠We evaluate the pathological changes of portal vein (PV) and the “heat-sink” effect. ⺠Minor injury of portal vein may occur when ablating the adjacent liver tissue. ⺠The energy deposition in the liver is related to the distance to the portal vein.
