Abstract
⺠Wave velocities of UAM parts composed of Al 3003-H18 foils were measured. ⺠Effective stiffness of the material was reduced due imperfect interfacial bonding. ⺠Reduction in effective stiffness was most profound in the transverse direction. ⺠Material stiffness decreased linearly with decreased interfacial bonded area. ⺠Wave velocity measurements can be used to determine interfacial bond quality in UAM.
