Abstract
The characteristics of dust acoustic (DA) solitary waves in a dusty plasma system consisting of dust fluid and superthermal electrons as well as ions are investigated both analytically and numerically. The Kadomstev-Petviashvili (KP) equation is derived using reductive perturbation method. The combined effects of superthermality of electrons as well as ions and dust concentration have been analyzed on the amplitude and width of DA solitary waves. It is observed that both negative and positive potential solitary structures are formed in the given plasma system. The expression for the energy of DA solitary waves is derived. The stability analysis is also discussed for the existence of DA solitary waves. Further, it is observed that stable DA solitary waves are significantly influenced by the superthermality of electrons as well as ions, and dust concentration.
