Abstract
⺠We simulate atmospheric transmission measurements with a Monte Carlo model. ⺠Forward-scattered light can change exoplanet transit depths significantly. ⺠Retrievals from stellar/solar occultations can be in error by several tens of percent. ⺠A simplified slab model can often give a good idea of the forward-scattering.
