Abstract
⺠We acquired first infrared reflectance spectra of CO2 sI clathrate hydrate. ⺠Experimental conditions are representative of the icy moons' surfaces. ⺠CO2 clathrate hydrates show absorption bands at 2.71, 4.26, and 4.28 μm. ⺠IR spectra depend on the sample optical and physical characteristics. ⺠CO2 absorption bands on icy moons do not correspond to CO2 sI clathrate hydrate.
