Abstract
⺠Severalsalts and frozensalt solutions wereinvestigatedwith LIBS. ⺠Focus was on discriminating sulfates and chlorideswith the same cation. ⺠Differentmultivariateanalysismethodswereapplied to the data. ⺠Sulfates and chloridescanbesuccessfullydistinguished in frozen solutions. ⺠Partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) worked best for discrimination.
