Abstract
⺠We assess the electron density in Titan's dayside ionosphere using a model driven by Cassini data. ⺠We obtain a factor of about 2 higher densities than observed by the Langmuir probe. ⺠We discuss possible reasons for the discrepancy found. ⺠Dissociative recombination is probably not the only important electron loss process.
