Abstract
âºA comprehensive model is developed to study the atomic oxygen redline dayglow emission. âºThe model results are compared with the empirical formula proposed by Zhang and Shepherd (2004). âºAn analytical expression for the latitudinal variation of peak emission rate is obtained from model results. âºThe analytical expression can be used to find peak emission rate at any latitude and solar activity.
