Abstract
⺠Rain attenuation and scintillations of Ku-band satellite signal have been studied. ⺠Signal fluctuations due to two phenomena are separated by filtering technique. ⺠Power spectra of low- and high-pass filtered data are compared with theoretical values. ⺠Wavelet spectra indicate that rain attenuation degradation is much larger than scintillation effects. ⺠A positive and non-linear relationship exists between the two co-occurring phenomena.
