Abstract
Ionosonde data recorded at Korhogo (dip=-0.67) were used to investigate the response of the equatorial ionosphere during the geomagnetic storm of April 7 and 8 of 1995 a year of low solar activity. The parameters used are the F2 layer peak density characteristics and the profile parameters B0 and B1. NmF2, hmF2, B0 and B1 were compared with reference value defined as the quietest days average parameters. The result shows that the storm effect is much sensitive on NmF2, hmF2 and B0 but not B1.
