Abstract
The results of this study also show: (1) The intensity of a magnetic storm which is associated with a magnetic cloud is predictable. (2) The prediction relationships for storm intensity, Dstmin are: Dstmin=0.83+7.85ÃBzmin and Dstmin=-16.48-12.89Ã(VBs)max. (3) The velocity dependence of the Dstmin prediction relationship will improve the accuracy for a Bz-base prediction result. (4) For the VBsmax-based prediction relationship, the prediction accuracy of Dstmin becomes worse when a velocity-dependent prediction relationship is used.
