Abstract
⺠Distinguishing and estimation of different density layers is possible using penetration data. ⺠Estimation of the angle of internal friction enhances mechanical interpretations. ⺠Angle of internal friction varies based on regolith type. ⺠Increase in the subsurface density corresponds with an increase in the angle of internal friction.
