Abstract
⺠Theoretical study of how solar wind affects Jupiter's magnetosphere-ionosphere system. ⺠Power dissipated in atmosphere is anti-correlated with solar wind pressure. ⺠Power dissipated in magnetosphere is a maximum for solar wind pressure â¼0.02-0.06 nPa. ⺠Auroral emission and brightness increase with magnetospheric size. ⺠Value of radial current at infinity influences magnetodisc structure.
