Abstract
⺠Predictions of the performance of the MESSENGER Gamma-Ray Spectrometer. ⺠Discussion of the abilities of the instrument during Mercury orbital operations. ⺠Simulation of the spatial resolution of gamma-ray measurements of surface Fe. ⺠Units at least 800 km across are distinguishable if Fe abundances differ by 4 wt%.
