Abstract
⺠We named the specific dark wind streaks on Tharsis volcanoes “Spire Streaks”. ⺠We documented the distribution and the time-variation of the streaks on Pavonis Mons. ⺠Visible and infrared images obtained by satellites were investigated. ⺠We predicted the wind field over Pavonis Mons with a mesoscale climate model. ⺠Some features of the streaks are outside the scope of previous modeling for erosion.
