Abstract
⺠Numerical study on stirring of large rectangular silicon ingots (700 kg) by novel Carousel magnetic fields. ⺠Bottom heater magnets were used for a generation of Lorentz forces. ⺠Results showed enhanced mixing parallel to the solidification front and axial flow intensification in the growth direction.
