Abstract
⺠Electric current is used to create and maintain linear molten zone in silicon. ⺠Electric molten zone's (EMZ) electrical signature is described. ⺠Width of EMZ is well explained by electrical conductivity of liquid silicon. ⺠Method for the estimation of EMZ width from electrical data is proposed
