Abstract
⺠New chalcone derivative has been synthesized and single crystals are grown. ⺠SHG efficiency of the compound is 3.15 times to that of urea. ⺠Functional groups influence the material's SHG efficiency. ⺠The crystals are transparent in the visible region and thermally stable.
