Abstract
The formation of an extended ordered layer of monodisperse Fe66Pt34 nanoparticles on a 5Â cm diameter silicon wafer is accessible through a two-step spin-coating process. An exchange process in the organic shell of the FePt nanoparticles allows to regulate the distance between the nanoparticles in ordered layers.
