Abstract
⺠The results showed that high energy milling did not lead to the garnet formation. ⺠The milling process did not decrease the temperature of the garnet formation. ⺠The orthoferrite phase can be achieved slightly during the mechanical milling. ⺠The milling process can lower the temperature of orthoferrite formation. ⺠The milled powder for 96 h completely transforms to orthoferrite below 700 °C.
