Abstract
⺠blending of iron oxide nanoparticles with photocrosslinkable carboxymethyldextran. ⺠UV irradiation of blend yields surface-attached, magnetic hydrogel films. ⺠film characterization by surface plasmon resonance/optical waveguide spectroscopy. ⺠swelling decreases with increasing nanoparticle content. ⺠swelling decreases with increasing NaCl salt concentration in the aqueous medium.
