Abstract
⺠The carbon-content dependent field effect on austenitic decomposition is studied. ⺠The field-induced morphology features vary with the carbon content. ⺠The field effect on ferrite texture is more pronounced in high carbon content alloy. ⺠Magnetic field hardly affects the orientation relationships between phases in pearlite.
