Abstract
⺠A new type of cationic magnetic polymer particles was synthesized by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization. ⺠Structural, morphological, and magnetic properties of the composite were evaluated. ⺠The interaction between cationic magnetic polymer particles with DNA was confirmed by zeta potential measurements. ⺠UV-vis spectrophotometry, fluorescent spectroscopy and agarose gel electrophoresis. ⺠This process may have potential applications to gene carrier and DNA separation.
